Overview

Numex Volume Booster (NVB) is a Chrome extension that provides per-tab audio controls and audio effects. We are committed to user privacy.

Data Collection

NVB does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. NVB does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or remote telemetry.

What NVB Stores Locally

NVB stores user preferences locally on the device using chrome.storage.local, including:

• Gain level
• Feature toggles (Limiter, Bass Boost, Overdrive, Smart Balance, etc.)
• Selected theme and preset
• Profiles and per-site override settings
• Ad Guard allow/block host patterns configured by the user

This data is used only for extension functionality and is not sent to external servers.

Permissions Usage

• storage: Save user settings locally.
• tabs: Determine active tab and hostname for per-site settings.
• scripting: Inject packaged local scripts required for audio processing.
• activeTab: Operate on the currently active tab when user interacts with NVB.
• host permissions: Enable NVB functionality on supported sites where media plays.

Remote Code

NVB does not use remotely hosted code. All code is packaged with the extension.

Children's Privacy

NVB is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect extension updates or policy requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
